The various roof sections of this home were originally made of different roof materials: Decramastic tile and metal. These materials were removed, and new anti-condensation blanket was installed, providing the owners with a cost-effective way to prevent heat loss in winter, keep their home cooler in summer, and decrease their chances of developing mould and damp.
New steel roof battens were also installed before the new Bluescope Colorbond roof sheeting. The main house roof sections were in the corrugated profile, and the lower house roof remained in a Trimdek profile, which better suited it’s pitch. The building looks more uniform and modern by having both these roofs now in a consistent colour of Colorbond Ironstone. Some new whirly birds and downpipes (also in Ironstone) were fitted to finish off the look and function of this home’s new roof. The total time on this project from installation of sfety rail to final tidy up and sign of was approximately 1.5 weeks.
